Answer preview……….. The Constitutional Convention established the Electoral College that would be used to appoint the President of the United States. According to the Constitution, each state was empowered to appoint a number of electors which would be equal to the number of Representatives and Senators that the state had been empowered to represent in Congress. The electors were empowered to vote by ballot on two people who would not have been inhabitants to the state for the presidential election or position. Once such voting had been done, they have to sign and certify their choices and send the list to the Seat of Government of the United States. The President of the Senate would thereafter open all certificates from around the country and such votes would be counted or tallied to determine who would be the president of the United States………….
