Need a help!
Use the following diagram to determine the percentage ofβ phase present under equilibrium conditions at 2600K in analloy of alumina and zirconia containing 5wt% alumina.Chose the closest value from A-H.
well…I thought of the followings ;
(1) at 2600K… the percentage of β phase…”where the line DG and 2600Kmeet” is ZrO2 = 97%
(2) at 2600K…. where Al2O3 = 5wt%….. is the liquid.
So… does it mean there is no phase β exist (answeris A. 0) in where 5 wt% of alumina exists??
Is that that simple?
Could anyone please advise me!!
